Dr. Sohail Moussavi graduated with honors from medical school at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 1999, and completed his internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA in 2003. Dr Moussavi practices general internal medicine with an emphasis on preventive health care, and men’s and women’s wellness. Dr. Moussavi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and has a special interest in cosmetic procedures. Dr. Moussavi is also certified in aesthetic medicine.
Dr. Alemzadeh received his medical degree from George Washington University in 1998 and completed his internal medicine residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Alemzadeh is especially interested in preventive medicine such as controlling and prevention of hypertension, diabetes, and other chronic health problems, in addition to providing care to overweight and obese patients through the Cardinal Medical Weight Loss Center. Dr. Alemzadeh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Dr. Atoussa Farough completed her internal medicine residency in Washington D.C. at Washington Hospital Center Georgetown University Program in 2009. She has special interest in women’s wellness as well as management of chronic diseases and preventative medicine. Dr. Farough is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr. Farough has a special interest in cosmetic procedures and is certified in aesthetic medicine.
Abu Sheriff, NP-C is an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner who joined the Cardinal Internal Medicine team in 2016. Abu worked at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center before he pursued his master’s degree as a nurse practitioner from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Abu is currently accepting new patients at our Stafford Location.
Zoila Patricia (Patty) Congleton FNP-BC is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Mrs. Congleton graduated with honors from the GMU/GW Nurse Practitioner program in 1998. Patty believes in compassionate, personalized holistic care. Her clinical interests include autoimmune conditions and preventive medicine. She has a strong knowledge of nutrition and lifestyle changes and truly believes in Hippocrates’ teachings of “let food be thy medicine." One of her professional goals is to complete a functional medicine certification. In her free time, she manages two recreational soccer teams and volunteers with her kid’s wrestling teams. She also enjoys the outdoors, photography, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Patty is fluent in Spanish.
Joelle Lopez FNP-BC
Joelle Lopez FNP-BC is a family certified nurse practitioner. She received both her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from The George Washington University. Her experience includes working with urban and rural communities, with a great focus on primary and preventative care, and using evidence-based practice. Joelle’s hobbies include dance, learning various languages, cooking and traveling.
